Birds of the Doubtful Valley - Kea

MR241

$4.50

Kea are endemic to the Southern Alps, and are the world's only alpine parrot. They are highly inquisitive and adaptable; often congregating where humans are in the mountains. This leads to the misconception that kea are numerous, whereas in fact kea number between 1000 and 5000 birds in total.

Five per cent of all sales of this card go towards restoration work in the Doubtful Valley of the Lewis Pass. You can visit facebook.com/DoubtfulValleyRestoration to see what's happening.
